Back on Track: Progress and Milestones in My Candle Business

Hello, everyone! It’s been a few days since my last update, and I wanted to check in. I had a bit of a setback as I got sick and had to return to work after my winter break, which slowed down my progress. Thankfully, I’m feeling much better now and back on track!

Making Progress Despite Challenges

Even while under the weather, I managed to squeeze in some work on my candle business. The customization section has been my main focus. It’s taking longer than expected, but I’m making steady progress. One exciting development was finding a lady selling her massive collection of over 100 fragrances. I feel so lucky to have come across this opportunity!

I’ve organized all the fragrance names into a spreadsheet and am now categorizing them by scent type. I’m also creating descriptions for each one. It’s a bit of a task, but with the help of ChatGPT, I’ve been able to quickly categorize scents and generate creative descriptions without having to dig through a thesaurus. Such a lifesaver!

The Importance of Double-Checking

In the process of organizing fragrances, I’ve also been double-checking to ensure that the manufacturers still produce the scents I have on hand. It’s a good thing I did, as I discovered a few fragrances are no longer being made. This step, while time-consuming, has saved me from potential issues down the line. Thoroughness always pays off!

My First Sale and Encouraging Feedback

Now, for the exciting news—I sold my very first candle on my website! It was to family, but it still counts, right? I also reached out to close friends and family via text to share the launch. Their feedback has been incredibly helpful and encouraging. There were a few small adjustments to make the process smoother, but overall, the response has been positive and motivating.

Feeling Optimistic

I’m feeling optimistic and excited as I continue to move forward with this journey. Every step, whether big or small, brings me closer to building the business I’ve dreamed of. Thank you for following along and supporting me on this adventure!
