Candle Chronicles: Chiseling Away at Customization

I won’t sugarcoat it—working on the customization section of my website has been a much bigger task than I originally anticipated. I knew it would take time, but I didn’t quite expect the balancing act it would become. Between working full-time and trying to carve out moments of uninterrupted focus, finding time for my candle business is a challenge. And let’s be real—after a long workday, sometimes my brain just doesn’t have the creative fuel left to dive into web development.

But, as always, progress is progress. This past weekend, I managed to steal a few precious hours and make some solid headway. I tackled the fragrance selection and color pages, which are now at a "good enough for now" stage. They still need refining, but at least they exist—something tangible to build upon.

🔜 Next Up: The main customization page. This is the heart of the whole section, the part where customers will truly get to personalize their candles. I want it to be intuitive, fun, and seamless, but designing that experience takes more than just slapping some buttons on a page. It’s a puzzle I’m still piecing together, but I know that little by little, it’ll come together.

For now, I’ll keep taking time where I can find it, even if that means squeezing in just 30 minutes here and there. Every step forward, no matter how small, still counts.
